Parts for machines
that have stopped.
A supplier closes, a drawing is lost, or the OEM quotes a year out — and the machine still has to run. We measure what is left of the old part, put the dimension chain and the material on a route card, and machine a replacement. One piece, or a small batch.
What we replace
Girth gears and pinions for kilns, mills and dryers; gear shafts, stepped shafts and spindles; bearing housings, end caps and covers; sheaves, rollers and wear parts. If it was once machined, it can be measured and machined again.
From a worn part to a drawing
A worn tooth is not a reference surface. We measure the bore, the faces and the undamaged teeth, work back to the module and the tooth count, and issue a drawing for your approval before any metal is cut.
Material is checked, not assumed
Where a mill certificate exists, the grade is read from it. Where none does, a sample is tested and the substitute is agreed with you before machining: the same strength and hardenability, not necessarily the same trade name.
One piece or a small batch
There is no minimum order and no pattern or tooling charge. A single replacement gear and a batch of ten take the same route; only the setup is amortized differently.
What ships with the part
Material certificate, dimensional record, hardness readings where heat treatment applies, and a packing list. Crates carry lifting points and rust protection for the voyage.
Common questions
- Can you work without a drawing?
- Yes. Send the worn part, or photographs with the main dimensions. We measure it and send the drawing back for approval before machining.
- How long does a replacement take?
- A single gear or shaft usually takes four to eight weeks from the approved drawing, depending on size, module and heat treatment. The date is confirmed with the quotation.
- Do you copy OEM parts?
- We machine to the dimensions and material the machine needs. The drawing produced from your sample is checked by you before cutting, and the part carries our inspection record.
- What if the sample is badly worn?
- We measure the references that did not run — bore, faces, unworn flanks — and reconstruct the rest. Where almost nothing usable is left, the mating part usually carries the missing numbers.
Send the sample, or the broken part.
Photographs, the main dimensions and the machine it belongs to are enough to start. We reply with what we can measure and what we still need.
