Cone Crusher Main Shaft Assembly

One-piece cone crusher shaft assembly with a tapered cone body and stepped journals at both ends, driven in an eccentric swing to crush ore and rock.

Tapered cone body with stepped journals at both ends, threaded section on one journal, resting on a square-tube stand.

Structure and machining

The tapered cone body and the stepped journals at both ends form one coaxial part, cast as a whole and then finish-machined. The cone face is the mounting datum for the wear mantle, while the two journals carry the support bearings and the eccentric drive components.

Machining is planned around the coaxiality of the cone face and the journals and the fit of the mounting datum. Matching features such as threaded sections, sealing seats and locating surfaces are machined to the drawing.

Working condition and material

In service the head swings eccentrically and squeezes the material against the bowl liner, so the part takes high compressive pressure and alternating impact loads. Alloy cast steel or high-manganese steel is selected according to the working condition, and quenching and tempering are applied to raise strength together with impact toughness.

Such shafts are commonly used in the crushing circuits of mining beneficiation, aggregate production and metallurgical slag processing, under heavy-duty and high-impact conditions.

Customization and inspection

Parts are made to customer drawings or to the crusher model: cone angle, cone face dimensions, journal sizes, material grade and heat treatment indicators are all confirmed against the technical documents before production.

Blank supply and heat treatment route are agreed per drawing and quality documents; dimensions, geometrical tolerances, hardness and flaw detection are inspected as required, and a dimensional report can be issued with the shipment.

Common questions

Can you machine this part to my drawing?
Yes. Every part is quoted from the drawing. Send a PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES file with the material, quantity and any inspection requirements, and we reply within one working day.
How are the material and heat treatment decided?
They follow your drawing. The specification table shows the range normally used for this part type; the final material and heat treatment are confirmed with the quotation.
What lead time and inspection come with the part?
Lead time is set in the quotation and depends on material, size, quantity and inspection scope. Material verification, in-process checks and final inspection records are archived with the part, and any extra certification is agreed before production.
How is the part packed for export?
Export parts are rust-proofed and packed for the transport method and destination confirmed in the quotation, with lifting points and markings agreed before dispatch.

Every part is quoted from the drawing itself, not from a size band. Send it over and we answer with the process, the lead time and the tolerance we can hold.
