Conveyor Parallel Idler Roller

Seamless steel tube roller body with sealed bearings at both ends, supporting belt and bulk material on belt conveyors. Interchangeable, suited to dusty, heavy-duty service.

Red cylindrical idler rollers in a steel stillage, each with a tube body, recessed bearing seat and projecting shaft end.

Structure and Machining

The roller body is machined from seamless steel tube. Both ends carry built-in rolling bearings and a sealing assembly, and the shaft ends project so the roller can be fixed to the conveyor frame. The outer surface is coated red for rust protection.

The design is modular, so a worn roller is swapped on site without reworking the frame. Tube ends are machined, bearing housings fitted, the shaft welded or pressed in, and the coating applied — each step checked against the drawing for that roller size.

Service Conditions

Parallel idlers are commonly used as return rollers, or as carrying idlers on the flat sections of a belt line; together with troughing idlers they form the full support set.

The end seal blocks dust, water and spillage from reaching the bearings, which keeps running resistance low. This makes the roller suitable for mining, aggregate, cement, port and grain handling duty where dust and heavy loads are normal.

Quality Control and Customization

Each batch is checked for body diameter, overall length, shaft extension, radial runout and coating thickness before packing; bearing seats are gauged and the grease fill is recorded.

Roller diameter, length, shaft diameter, bearing type, seal type and coating colour are made to drawing or sample. Plain, buffer, anti-static and water-proof versions can be quoted once the working duty is defined.

Common questions

Can you machine this part to my drawing?
Yes. Every part is quoted from the drawing. Send a PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES file with the material, quantity and any inspection requirements, and we reply within one working day.
How are the material and heat treatment decided?
They follow your drawing. The specification table shows the range normally used for this part type; the final material and heat treatment are confirmed with the quotation.
What lead time and inspection come with the part?
Lead time is set in the quotation and depends on material, size, quantity and inspection scope. Material verification, in-process checks and final inspection records are archived with the part, and any extra certification is agreed before production.
How is the part packed for export?
Export parts are rust-proofed and packed for the transport method and destination confirmed in the quotation, with lifting points and markings agreed before dispatch.

Every part is quoted from the drawing itself, not from a size band. Send it over and we answer with the process, the lead time and the tolerance we can hold.
