Bearing Housings & Machined PartsCouplings
Heavy-Duty Elastic Block Coupling
Split-type elastic block coupling that links two shafts, transmits high torque, and absorbs shock while compensating radial, angular, and axial misalignment.

Machined Hub, Disc, and Jaw Blocks
The coupling is built from three machined groups: an inner hub with a keyed bore, an outer flange disc with jaw recesses, and a set of rectangular jaw blocks. Hubs are bored and keyseated to the shaft fit, flange discs are turned and drilled for the bolt circle, and the jaw blocks are milled square and matched so each block seats evenly against its cushion.
Because the two halves are separate parts, each side can be machined to its own shaft fit before assembly. Bolt holes, keyways, and pilot diameters are cut in the same setup wherever possible so the assembled coupling runs concentric.
Built for Shock and Misalignment
Torque passes from the jaw blocks through the polyurethane cushions into the recesses of the outer disc. The cushions compress slightly under load, which lets the coupling compensate radial offset, angular misalignment, and axial float, and takes the peak out of impact torques before they reach the gearbox or bearings.
This behavior suits moderate-speed, high-torque drives such as crusher input shafts, conveyor head shafts, mill drives, and hoist travel drives, particularly where starting loads are uneven or where accurate shaft alignment is difficult to hold in service.
Replaceable Elements, Lower Maintenance Cost
The cushions are wear parts. When they degrade, the coupling is unbolted, the worn blocks are swapped, and the metal hub and disc go back into service, so a worn element does not mean scrapping the whole coupling. The split layout also allows assembly and removal without moving either connected machine.
Polyurethane resists oil, grease, and aging, and the metal body carries the torque load, so the coupling holds up in dusty and oily plant environments where rubber elements would swell or tear.
Quality Control and Custom Options
Bores, keyways, bolt circles, and jaw faces are checked against the drawing, and each assembled unit is checked for concentricity and free fit of the cushions. Balance is checked on request for higher-speed duties.
We machine to customer drawings: bore and keyway sizes, flange bolt pattern, number and size of jaws, cushion hardness, and body material (carbon steel or alloy cast steel) can all be set per application. Send the shaft diameters, torque, and space envelope and we will quote the matching size.

Common questions
- Can you machine this part to my drawing?
- Yes. Every part is quoted from the drawing. Send a PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES file with the material, quantity and any inspection requirements, and we reply within one working day.
- How are the material and heat treatment decided?
- They follow your drawing. The specification table shows the range normally used for this part type; the final material and heat treatment are confirmed with the quotation.
- What lead time and inspection come with the part?
- Lead time is set in the quotation and depends on material, size, quantity and inspection scope. Material verification, in-process checks and final inspection records are archived with the part, and any extra certification is agreed before production.
- How is the part packed for export?
- Export parts are rust-proofed and packed for the transport method and destination confirmed in the quotation, with lifting points and markings agreed before dispatch.
Every part is quoted from the drawing itself, not from a size band. Send it over and we answer with the process, the lead time and the tolerance we can hold.
