Bearings & Machined PartsCouplings
Heavy-Duty Large Flange Gear Coupling
Heavy-duty flange-type gear coupling for connecting two shafts in high-torque drive systems; its drum-shaped tooth engagement compensates radial, angular and axial misalignment.

Drum-Tooth Engagement for Shaft Misalignment
The coupling uses an internal drum-shaped tooth pair: the external teeth are crowned and mesh with the internal gear ring, allowing it to accommodate radial, angular and axial shaft misalignment caused by assembly tolerance, thermal deformation or foundation settlement.
Tooth surfaces are hardened, giving the coupling high torque capacity and resistance to shock loads in heavy-duty drivetrains.
Split Flange for On-Site Maintenance
The flange is split and fastened with multiple high-strength bolts, so the coupling can be assembled, disassembled or serviced on site without moving the entire drive shaft, reducing downtime on large equipment.
Lifting eye bolts are fitted to the flange for safe lifting and transfer during assembly.
Materials, Heat Treatment and Lubrication
Common production uses 42CrMo or 35CrMo alloy steel, with quenching and tempering followed by tooth surface hardening to balance core strength and tooth wear resistance.
The internal cavity can be charged with gear oil or grease to lubricate the tooth mesh continuously, reducing wear and extending maintenance intervals.
Custom Machining and Inspection
Bore diameter, keyway, flange bolt circle and overall dimensions can be machined to customer drawings. Production covers turning, boring, drilling, keyway cutting, heat treatment and assembly.
Critical fits and dimensions are checked before shipment; material grade, heat treatment and inspection requirements are confirmed against the approved drawing.

Common questions
- Can you machine this part to my drawing?
- Yes. Every part is quoted from the drawing. Send a PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES file with the material, quantity and any inspection requirements, and we reply within one working day.
- How are the material and heat treatment decided?
- They follow your drawing. The specification table shows the range normally used for this part type; the final material and heat treatment are confirmed with the quotation.
- What lead time and inspection come with the part?
- Lead time is set in the quotation and depends on material, size, quantity and inspection scope. Material verification, in-process checks and final inspection records are archived with the part, and any extra certification is agreed before production.
- How is the part packed for export?
- Export parts are rust-proofed and packed for the transport method and destination confirmed in the quotation, with lifting points and markings agreed before dispatch.
Every part is quoted from the drawing itself, not from a size band. Send it over and we answer with the process, the lead time and the tolerance we can hold.
