Integrated Spline Input Helical Gear Shaft
One-piece gear shaft that takes torque through an involute external spline and transmits it through an integrated helical gear. It is built for high-speed input stages of hardened-gear reducers.

One-Piece Shaft and Gear Structure
The upper end is an involute external spline that mates with an internal spline on the input side, such as a coupling or motor shaft. The lower end is a helical cylindrical gear machined integrally with the shaft body.
The stepped shaft body carries bearing shoulders for axial location and support. Because the gear and shaft are one piece, there is no assembly fit clearance between them.
Materials and Heat Treatment
Standard material options are 20CrMnTi and 42CrMo alloy structural steel. Blanks can be forged, and heat treatment includes carburizing and quenching, or quenching and tempering followed by tooth-surface hardening.
Gear teeth are finish-ground after heat treatment when the drawing requires it. For gear work in this category, the shop can machine outside diameters up to Ø8,000 mm, cut gear modules up to M60, and harden parts up to Ø8,000 mm.
Inspection and Customization
Gear pitch, runout, hardness, and ultrasonic testing are checked in-house. Dimensions, spline specifications, gear parameters, and shaft journals are produced to the customer's drawing and confirmed before production.
Typical lead time for gear parts is within 90 days. Custom options include tooth form, material, heat treatment, and spline and journal configurations as shown on the drawing.
Typical Operating Conditions
This type of shaft is commonly used as the high-speed stage drive gear in hardened-tooth-face helical gear reducers and industrial gearboxes. It suits high-speed, high-power input conditions where accurate spline centering and stable helical meshing are required.
Typical service areas include conveying machinery, metallurgy and mining, lifting and transport, machine tools, and building materials and chemical equipment.

Common questions
- Can you machine this part to my drawing?
- Yes. Every part is quoted from the drawing. Send a PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES file with the material, quantity and any inspection requirements, and we reply within one working day.
- How are the material and heat treatment decided?
- They follow your drawing. The specification table shows the range normally used for this part type; the final material and heat treatment are confirmed with the quotation.
- What lead time and inspection come with the part?
- Lead time is set in the quotation and depends on material, size, quantity and inspection scope. Material verification, in-process checks and final inspection records are archived with the part, and any extra certification is agreed before production.
- How is the part packed for export?
- Export parts are rust-proofed and packed for the transport method and destination confirmed in the quotation, with lifting points and markings agreed before dispatch.
Every part is quoted from the drawing itself, not from a size band. Send it over and we answer with the process, the lead time and the tolerance we can hold.
